On the morning of 8th January, Chen Muhua, ex-vice chairwoman of NPC standing committee, visited the Hangzhou Futong Group, accompanied by leaders of the provincial and local governments. The visiting dignitaries were received at the Yinhu facility by Tong Guili, deputy sectary of Fuyang CPC committee, Wang Jianyi, president of Futong Group, and Pan Yeqing, secretary of Futong CPC committee.

Chen Muhua and her entourage first visited the facility where the optical fiber prefabricated rods is made. President Wang Jianyi and director Liu Zhijun briefed them on the process and the general industrial situation. Chen Muhua expressed her appreciation of the breakthrough achievements made in the spirit of brave innovation by Futong in China's optical fiber telecommunication industry. She pointed out that the successful breakthrough of the project was of great significance and hoped that Futong would make persistent efforts to further the project and make greater contributions to the progress of China's optical fiber communication. Chen also visited workshops of optical fiber and optical cable, acquainting herself with detailed information on the optical fiber and cable market and production processes.
