The eighth session of the Zhejiang Federation of Industry &
Commerce Congress came to a conclusion in Hangzhou after the agenda
was successfully executed.
At the session, deputies examined and approved the work report
on the seventh executive committee of Zhejiang Federation of Industry
& Commerce and elected 134 executives to form the eighth executive
committee for Zhejiang Federation of Industry & Commerce.
At the first session of the executive committee, sixty were elected
to form the standing committee. Wang Jianyi, president of Hangzhou
Futong Group, was elected as vice president of Zhejiang Federation
of Industry & Commerce. The congress called on local federations
of the industry and commerce across Zhejiang and their members
to stand closely behind the CPC central committee with Jiang Zemin
at its core, uplift the great banner of Deng Xiaoping's theory,
make great efforts to study the great thought of Three Representatives,
emancipate the mind and work in the spirit of seeking truth from
facts, make a turning point between past and future, and move
forward with the time. The congress also called to work under
the leadership of the CPC Zhejiang Committee and Zhejiang People's
Government, enhance the sense of responsibility and sense of mission,
give full play to the federation's advantages in business, people-to-people
relation and united front work, follows the principle of serving
the government, society and federation members, and make efforts
to build the federation into a people-to-people group and chamber
of commerce that is firm in politics, complete in organization,
and that is down-to-earth and enterprising so as to make new contributions
to the progress of Zhejiang's socialist modernization drive and
greeting for the successful opening of the 16th CPC congress with
unique achievements.
Li Qing, vice president of Zhejiang CPPCC and director of Zhejiang
United Front Work Department, CPC, addressed the meeting at the
closing ceremony. Xu Juguan, President of Zhejiang Federation
of Industry & Commerce made the closing speech.
